The IMMORTALS
PLAYER'S GUIDE PLAYING TIPS
COSTUME BALL 2006
This great game was based upon the murder mystery game "The Immortal Murders" by Dinner and a Murder Mystery Games, LLC. A few modifications were made to take into account the location of the game and the personalities of the players, but the basis of the game mechanics and characters are the product of this great little company.

HOLIDAY FESTIVAL 2006
This game brought back some characters from the first game, added in some new ones, and tweaked the original rules a bit to make the game even more GM free. Goals were introduced in this game, allowing the players to compete with eachother in a new direction, while providing them with independent direction.

BROKEN HEARTS 2007
Story lines generated by the players in "Holiday Festival 2006" were carried into this game. In past games, the plot drove players to compete against each other. In THIS game, the only way to win was for all the players to work together. Ghosts were introduced in this game, allowing players to continue playing as their characters even after they were "killed".
Thanks to Ike for providing the main plot idea and introducing Todd, who played a great Void!

NEW BEGINNINGS 2007
This game steps away from the Immortal characters and allows the players to generate their own. Each guest thought of and developed their own characters and special abilities before game day, and the GMs made sure the game was balanced.. The idea being that the original Immortals passed into the Void, and a new set of Protectors would be chosen through a series of competitive events.
Ike, Todd and I all brainstormed this baby up.

IMMORTALS 3K7
We return to pre-gen'd characters in this game, but changed the setting to the future! Christina came up with the idea, and joined by Ike, Todd, and Kat, we ran with it! It was a lot of fun developing a game where the GMs play along too.

BON VOYAGE 2008
This game is based upon the murder mystery game "Casino Fatale" by Freeform Games LLP [www.freeformgames.com]. We allowed the players to customize the pre-gen'd characters a bit, some players choosing to imbue their characters with super powers! The storyline and goals were tweaked a bit to better fit the abilities of the players. This is the first game that was played nearly entirely without any GM.

PIECES OF EIGHT 2010
This game is based upon the murder mystery game "Dead Man's Chest" by Freeform Games LLP [www.freeformgames.com]. The storyline and goals were modified a bit to better fit the abilities of the players.

HOUSE OF CARDS 2010
This game was written by Lia with input and inspiration from Kat, Eevee, and Kacy. The game reintroduces the Immortals in the roles of Royals from a deck of cards. In this game, the Houses of Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds, and Spades compete for the position of Trump. The only responsibility the GM really had was to announce the party games at regular intervals. Players enjoyed being part of a team rather than on their own, however it did encourage an "us vs them" atmosphere which resulted in a rather high body count. Whereas in the past Ghosts were quiet and subdued, this game saw much more interaction between deceased characters and live ones, bringing a new richness to the game.
